An incredibly rare Aroid with dark, deeply ridged, and oval shaped foliage with very prominent veins. Their fuzzy leaves grow into a shrub. As the plant and its leaves mature, the foliage will darken, turning to an almost black color. These plants are rarely commercially grown and will always be in limited supply

Care Instructions

  • Watering: This plant will thrive in medium-bright indirect light but can also tolerate low light. In an east facing window or near a south facing window is ideal. Direct sunlight will burn the foliage.

  • Lighting: Does best in bright indirect light, an east facing window is ideal. Direct sun can burn the foliage

  • Soil: Well-draining soil that can also retain moisture. A mix with 75% standard potting mix and 25% orchid bark or extra perlite will work best

  • Temperature: 60-80 degrees and 40% humidity is ideal. These plants can handle standard home humidity as well

  • Pet Toxicity:  Mildly toxic to animals and people. Keep away from curious pet.
